Urubamba River

That was a long day of travel but well worth it. Phx to Houston then Houston to Lima. Then we slept in the Lima airport for 5 hours. It was modern, bright and very clean. Arrived in Cuzco and took a taxi through Sacred Valley, which offered a preview of the stunning views we will get on our hike. Hotel Rio Sagrado tumbles down a hillside towards the river. Here’s a sneak peek at our view with more pics to come. There is a baby llama named Lila who hangs out on the lawn. She wags her tail or spits when you pet her depending on her mood. We are headed down for an Andean cooking class. More soon.
